Digital Space

This course explores the idea of design in digital space asking, “What is it?” and “Why does it matter?” Designer’s are asked to grow their core design competencies while questioning the role digital design plays in shaping culture. Emphasis placed on developing the designer’s individual process including :
  • Develop means to find inspiration, conduct research, frame problems with         consideration for complex systems, pitch design ideas, generate solutions, complex project management, and refine work.
  • Leverage basic design principles to problem solve.
  • Increase technical execution skill level including but not limited to Photoshop or         Illustrator / Dreamweaver / After Effects/ HTML / CSS
Our goal: to realize engaging design work inspired by the designer’s vision and informed by their notions of citizenship.
